Handsome Hank is a Swiss country and bluegrass musician. The project was established in 2002 by the musician Sämi Schneider. A fictional backstory for the project claimed that the character Handsome Hank was born in Tennessee in 1920 and began performing as a child. This narrative detailed his experiences with imprisonment and service in the US Air Force, which supposedly led him to Christianity and a comeback in Europe during the 1990s. His recording career included the reinterpretation of pop and rock songs into country styles, including cover versions of the Soundgarden song "Black Hole Sun" and the Robbie Williams song "She's The One". Handsome Hank released the studio recordings White Album (2003) and Greatest Hits (2003). He released the live album Live at Murmansk (2007) followed by the studio recording Handsome Hank sings about Devils and Angels (2012). His discography included the studio recording Roll down the Line (2015).
