Mitsuko Nakamura, born as Mitsuko Komatsu on July 31, 1950, in Higashi-Osaka, Osaka Prefecture, is a celebrated enka singer and actress, renowned for her emotional performances rooted in traditional Japanese music styles like kawachi ondo and roukyoku. Her hit songs include "Kawachi Otoko Bushi"(1989), "Shimada no Bun Bun" (1993) "Mabuta no Haha" (1991) "Jinsei Sakura" (1997) and "Danjiri" (2007). he started her professional journey under the name Hatsune-ya Mitsuko, gaining fame as a kawachi ondo performer before transitioning to enka. Nakamura's career flourished with multiple hit singles and TV appearances, including long-standing roles as a host on programs like Enka no Yoru and Kanpai! Talk Song on MBS TV. She became a staple in NHK's prestigious New Year's Eve music show, Kōhaku Uta Gassen, debuting in 1992 and appearing fifteen times until 2010. Her release Nagaragawa Ujou (2015) further solidified her status in the genre.
