Humanwine is an American electronic, punk rock, vaudeville, and folk band from Vermont with early roots in Boston, Massachusetts. The band was founded in 2002 by Holly Brewer and Matthew McNiss. The band initially gained traction with their EP releases Kalifornia (2003) and Rivolta Silenziosa (2007). Humanwine released their debut full-length album, Fighting Naked (2007), which was named Best Album of 2007 by WBZ-TV. The band embarked on several national tours, including the "Double Dipping Tour" in 2006 and a West Coast tour in 2008. Humanwine was named Best New Act in the FNX/Boston Phoenix Best Music Poll in 2006 and received a nomination for Best Local Female Vocalist in the 20th Annual Boston Music Awards in 2007.
