John David Kent, a country music group based in Celeste, Texas, was formed in 2008 and consisted of John David Kent, formerly of the late 1990s post-grunge band Radish, along with North Texas natives Randall Fuller, Tony Kent, and Colton Gilbreath. After relocating back to his hometown, John David Kent began writing songs and formed Blackland Records and The Vault Recording Studio. John David Kent released their self-titled debut album John David Kent on May 10, 2011, followed by Before the Sun Comes Up on September 30, 2013. The band's music was distributed through Blackland Records and Roustabout Records.
