Adulescens is a German indie‑rock group formed in Aichach near Augsburg in 2009 by members who had previously played together in school bands. The band first gained regional attention in 2011 when they won the Augsburg “Band of the Year,” contest, outperforming about 70 other South Bavarian acts. In 2012, they signed with Kulmbacher label AdP Records and released their self‑titled EP in 2013, followed by support slots for acts such as Steaming Satellites, Mew, and Efterklang. In 2016, the group issued their debut LP Ataxia; the release was accompanied by nationwide binaural headphone concerts, including a 1,000‑headphone event at Stuttgart’s Marienplatzfest. The track "No New Answers" was featured in the film Whatever Happens.
