Jaime Martín Delgado, born on September 1, 1965, in Santander, Spain, is a Spanish flautist and orchestra conductor. After studying flute in Madrid and the Netherlands, he established an international career as a soloist and orchestral musician, performing with leading ensembles across Europe. He has collaborated with renowned conductors including Claudio Abbado, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Carlo Maria Giulini, and Sir Neville Marriner. As a recording artist, he has participated in projects featuring works by Mozart, Bach, Joaquín Rodrigo, and Xavier Montsalvatge. In addition to his performance career, he has taught at the Royal College of Music in London and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. He expanded his musical activities into conducting in 2008 and has since led numerous orchestras throughout Europe. He has also served as Artistic Director of the Santander International Festival. In recognition of his artistic achievements, he received Spain’s National Music Award in the Performance category in 2022.
