Die Vision, a German band from East Berlin, was formed in 1986 as an offshoot of Komakino. The initial lineup included Uwe Niels von Geyer on vocals, Peter Kunstmann on guitar, René Radzischewski on drums, Andreas “Devo” Lehmann on bass, and Tom on keyboard. Their early releases were underground tapes that gained cult status in the alternative DDR scene. In 1986, they released Live im Hörnle Klub Berlin as Komakino, followed by several other cassette releases under Die Vision. The band's first major album, Torture, was produced by Mark Reeder and released in 1990. This was followed by Fascination in 1991 and the maxi-single "Dancing on the Beach" in 1992. Notable singles include "My Home Is Everywhere / No Popstars" (1990). The band faced internal conflicts over musical direction, leading to their disbandment in 1994.
