Bloody Panda is an American doom metal band based in New York City, formed in 2003 by visual artist Yoshiko Ohara. The group released their debut Promo EP in 2004 and gained attention for their live performances. Between 2005 and 2006, they played around New York City. In early 2007, the band released a split album with avant-garde metal group Kayo Dot through Holy Roar Records and recorded a cover of Eyehategod's "Anxiety Hangover" for the tribute album For the Sick. Their first full-length album, Pheromone, was produced by Jason Marcucci and released in April 2007 by Level Plane Records. They released their second album, Summon, on Profound Lore in 2009, followed by Summon: Invocation in 2011.
