Heroin and Your Veins is a dark jazz project founded in 2007 in Finland by Janne Perttula. The project began as a solo endeavor during a period of personal struggle. In 2009, Perttula assembled a live band for performances in Finland. Among other cities, the group performed in Tampere, Helsinki, and Turku. Heroin and Your Veins released their debut album, Dead People's Trails, in 2007, followed by Nausea in 2009, Lovely Bone Structure in 2011, and Regret in 2012. Perttula maintained creative control, emphasizing the personal nature of the music. The band's music is often compared to the work of Ennio Morricone and Angelo Badalamenti, blending elements of jazz, surf rock, and ambient music.
