Dragonhammer, an Italian power metal band, was formed in 1999 by Max Aguzzi on vocals and guitar, Gae Amodio on bass, and Marino Deyana on drums. Following positive reception of their demo Age of Glory released in 2000, the group signed with Legend Music/Elevate Records and released their debut album, The Blood of the Dragon, in 2001. The album featured Max Aguzzi, Gae Amodio, Milko Morelli on drums, and Alex Valdambrini on keyboards. In 2004, they released Time for Expiation under Scarlet Records with Raf Condemi replacing Morelli on drums. Dragonhammer toured extensively with notable acts such as Jørn Lande and Primal Fear. Their third album, The X Experiment, was released in December 2013 via My Kingdom Music, featuring guest appearances from Francesco Fareri and Roberto Tiranti. Subsequent releases include Obscurity (2017) and Second Life (2022).
