Blameless

Blameless was a rock quartet formed in Sheffield, England, in the early 1990s, comprising singer Jared Daley, guitarist Matt Pirt, bassist Jason Leggatt, and drummer Jon Dodd. The band first attracted attention with the single "Town Clowns" in 1994, which entered the UK indie charts and led to a deal with China Records. In 1995, the group released the album The Signs Are All There after recording at Fort Apache Studios in Boston. The band then embarked on tours with Moist and the Bluetones and appeared at the Heineken Music Festivals and Glastonbury. Although the album failed to chart, the band’s single "Breathe (A Little Deeper)" peaked at number 27 on the UK Singles Chart and was later featured on the Shine 5 compilation. Although they emerged during the "British Invasion" led by Oasis, the band's sound has been compared to groups like Pearl Jam and R.E.M.
