Veryan Weston, born on September 3, 1950, in Uckfield, Sussex, a British pianist active in free improvisation, jazz, and rock music. He began his career as a freelance jazz pianist and improviser. In 1972, he moved to London and started performing at the Little Theatre Club. He authored a book on piano improvisation in 1975 with support from the Arts Council of Great Britain. He collaborated extensively during the late 1970s and early 1980s, notably with Stinky Winkles, for whom he composed music. The group won multiple awards, including being named Young Musician of 1979 by the Greater London Arts Association. He also worked on multimedia projects, earning a Master's degree in Music Composition from Goldsmith’s College in 1990. He released his solo album, Playing Alone, in 1996 and continued to produce notable works such as Mercury Concert (1998) and Tessellations for Luthéal Piano (2003). He collaborated with various artists, including Eddie Prévost, Trevor Watts, and Phil Minton.
