The Selmanaires were an American indie electronic band from Atlanta, Georgia. Formed in 2003 on Selman Street by Herb Harris, Jason Harris, and Tommy Chung, the group initially performed at local house parties before expanding to a four-piece with Mathis Hunter on guitar and percussion. Their first album, Here Come the Selmanaires, was released in 2005. The band's dynamic sound, influenced by various cultures and eras, led them to tour nationally starting in 2006. In 2007, they embarked on a national tour with hometown friends The Black Lips. In 2008, percussionist Mario Schambon joined the lineup, and the band released The Air Salesmen. Adron also occasionally contributed vocals and guitar during this period. Notable collaborations included performances with Wire, Pylon, and Deerhunter, as well as serving as the backing band for Bradford Cox's Atlas Sound and Broadcast during a 2009 tour. Their album Tempo Temporal was released in 2009. The Selmanaires ceased activities in 2010.
