Moshav, an Israeli-American Jewish rock band from Moshav Mevo Modi'im, was formed in 1996 by Yehuda Solomon and Duvid Swirsky. They gained initial traction performing locally and among North American college students studying abroad in Israel. Their debut album, The Things You Can't Afford, was released in 1998 after a successful fundraising campaign that allowed them to tour the United States and record the album in Los Angeles. The band relocated to Los Angeles in 2000 and continued releasing albums throughout the 2000s, including Malachim (2005). In 2006, they changed their name from Moshav Band to Moshav and released the album Misplaced, produced by Ron Aniello and mixed by Brendan O'Brien. Notable singles include "The Only One" (2006) and "World on Fire" (2013). The band has been known for their community involvement, performing at numerous benefits and fundraisers.
