Creature with the Atom Brain, a Belgian alternative rock band from Antwerp, formed in 2004. The group was founded by Aldo Struyf, who served as a guitarist, keyboardist, and vocalist. Initially a side project, they released the EPs The Snake (2005) and Kill the Snake (2006), with Struyf handling most of the instrumentation himself. Creature with the Atom Brain released their debut studio album, I Am The Golden Gate Bridge (2008), and toured as an opening act for bands such as Queens of the Stone Age. Mark Lanegan, a frequent collaborator of Struyf's, was featured on their albums. The band released the albums Transylvania (2009) and The Birds Fly Low (2012). In 2015, they announced their disbandment following the release of Night of the Hunter (2015), which marked a return to Struyf's solo recording style while featuring notable guests like Lanegan.
