Ève Risser, born 24 June 1982 in Colmar, France, is a French pianist, flautist, composer, and improviser. She studied flute in Colmar and Strasbourg before switching to piano and attending the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris in a jazz class. Her breakthrough came in 2008 with a conservatory jazz prize and a solo award at the National Jazz Competition in La Défense, followed by five years with the Orchestre national de jazz de Daniel Yvinec. She released the albums Des pas sur la neige (2015) and To Pianos (2017), and the EP Après un rêve (2019). In 2014, she founded the White Desert Orchestra and, in 2019, the Red Desert Orchestra, exploring contemporary jazz and African influences.
