The Atlas Moth, eine amerikanische Post-Metal-Band aus Chicago, Illinois, wurde 2007 gegründet. Die Gruppe, die für ihren „abenteuerlichen Heavy-Metal“-Sound bekannt ist, veröffentlichte 2008 unter anderem die EP „Pray For Tides“ und die Single „Hope for Atlantis / Pray for Tides“ im Jahr 2008. Ihr Debütalbum „A Glorified Piece Of Blue-Sky“ erschien 2009 bei Candlelight Records. The Atlas Moth legten 2011 mit „An Ache For The Distance“ und 2013 mit der Compilation „Master Of Blunt Hits“ nach. Ihr nachfolgendes Album, „The Old Believer“, erschien 2014.
