Lella Cuberli, born Lela Alice Terrell on September 29, 1945, in Austin, Texas, is an American soprano renowned for her interpretations of the bel canto repertoire. After studying in Dallas and Milan, she made her professional debut in Siena in 1973 and established her career in Italy, while also appearing at major venues including the Aix-en-Provence Festival and the Salzburg Festival. She later debuted at the Metropolitan Opera, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and the Royal Opera House. Cuberli has recorded extensively, notably Mozart operas with Daniel Barenboim, as well as works by Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini, Beethoven, and Pergolesi. She also taught at the University of North Texas in 2008.
