The Del-Vetts were an American garage rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1963. The initial lineup included Jim Lauer on lead vocals and lead guitar, Bob Good on bass guitar, Lester Goldboss on rhythm guitar, and Paul Wade on drums. They began performing cover versions of Chuck Berry songs and surf rock standards. In 1965, they recorded "Little Latin Lupe Lu" with producer Bill Traut for Seeburg Records. The band's lineup solidified to include Lauer, Good on rhythm guitar, Jack Burchall on bass, and Roger Deatherage on drums. Signed to Dunwich Records in 1966, their original composition "Last Time Around", became a regional hit and the most-requested track on Chicago radio stations. In 1967, the group changed its name to the Pride and Joy and released "Girl" under Acta Records. After Burchall left in 1968, the band disbanded.
