Bloodlined Calligraphy, a metalcore band from Ypsilanti, Michigan, formed in 1996 under the name Friction. In 1999, they changed their name to Bloodlined Calligraphy and later signed with Selah Records, releasing their debut album, Say Hi To The Bad Guy, in 2002. After vocalist Matt Fleming left in 2003, Ally French became the new vocalist. In 2004, they released an EP titled The Beginning Of The End under Strike First Records and later signed with Facedown Records. Their second full-length album, They Want You Silent, released on April 26, 2005, marked a significant milestone in their career. Following the release of Ypsilanti on September 19, 2006, the band faced several lineup changes and tragedies, including the death of founding member Eric Cargile on April 20, 2010. The band officially disbanded in 2010 but reunited for shows in 2014 and 2017.
