Painted Faces, an American garage and psychedelic rock band from Fort Myers, Florida, formed in 1967 as the Fifth Dimension. The lineup includes Jack O'Neill, Jerry Turano, Harry Bragg, John McKinney, and Craig Guild, who recorded demos that led to the single "Things We See / I Want You" in 1967. After lineup changes, the band signed with Manhattan Records and released "Anxious Color" in June 1967, reaching the top of South Florida charts. Subsequent singles "I Think I’m Going Mad" and "In the Heat of the Night" followed. The Vietnam War ultimately led to the group’s breakup when drummer Harry Bragg was drafted into military service. In 1994, "Anxious Color" was anthologized on the Distortions Records compilation Anxious Color.
