Shayna Steele, born on September 23, 1975, in Sacramento, California, is an American singer-songwriter. She began her career as a Broadway stage actress with notable credits including Rent at the Nederlander Theatre, the revival of Jesus Christ Superstar, and the original Broadway cast of Hairspray. Her music career started in 2004 with her self-titled EP. She released her first full-length album, I'll Be Anything, in 2009. She has collaborated with various artists, including Moby on his album Hotel and the single "Disco Lies", which reached Number 1 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play list in 2004. She also sang background vocals for Bette Midler in Las Vegas and toured with Rihanna as a background vocalist on her Australian tour of Last Girl on Earth in 2011 and the North American and European "LOUD" tour on June 4, 2014.
