Balázs Ferenc, also known as Balázs Fecó, was born on March 2, 1951, in Budapest, Hungary, and was a Hungarian singer, songwriter, and keyboardist. He started with Neoton Família in 1967, then returned in 1976 to support Zsuzsa Koncz. In 1978, he founded the rock group Korál, which became a national hit with "Homok a szélben" in 1981, placing third at Táncdalfesztivál. After Korál disbanded in 1986, he launched a solo career, releasing albums such as A csönd évei (2000). He earned the Phonogram Award in 2008 and the Kossuth Award in 2016. He died on November 26, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19, at the age of 69.
