Sounds of Swami are an English progressive rock and post-hardcore band from Keighley that formed in 2005. The group consists of Robert Gilbert, Luke Yates, Kurt Wood, and Joe Dimuantes. They released their debut EP, Vent, (2008) followed by the EP Halcyon Days (2009). Their debut eponymous studio album, Sounds of Swami, was released (2013) and featured the single “Stitched Up at the Sewing Circle” (2012). Their second studio album, Furniture for Modern Living, was released (2017) and included the singles “Kill Me Already” (2017) and “Rome Won't Wait” (2017). The music produced by them addresses themes of anti-racism, anti-commercialism, and left-wing politics. Their discography also includes the single “Twisting My Arm” (2016).
