The Water Tower Bucket Boys, an American bluegrass, old-time, and punk band from Portland, Oregon, was formed in 2005 by Kenny Feinstein on guitar and lead vocals with his neighbor Josh Rabie on fiddle. The band released their first album under the name Water Tower String Band before changing to The Water Tower Bucket Boys and releasing two more albums: Catfish on the Line (2009) and Sole Kitchen (2010). In 2012, they changed their name again to Water Tower. Following Rabie's departure in 2013, Feinstein released a solo album, Loveless: Hurts to Love, an acoustic cover of My Bloody Valentine’s Loveless. The band began work on Fly Around at Deer Lodge Studios in Portland before relocating to Los Angeles in 2014 to continue working on it. The album was released in 2020 and featured guest vocals from Willie Watson, Gene Louis, and Ron Reyes. Water Tower was known for their modern bluegrass mixed with old-time and punk rock influences.
