Capharnaum, an American technical death metal band formed in 1993 in Avon, Connecticut, was founded by brothers Jason and Jordan Suecof. The group initially gained traction with their debut album Reality Only Fantasized in 1997, followed by the demo Plague of Spirits in 1999. Capharnaum's style blended elements of Nile and Obituary, featuring a demanding and technical playing style with jazz influences. In 2004, they released their second album Fractured, recorded at Audio Hammer studios by Jason Suecof under Willowtip Records, which garnered significant attention from the metal press.
