The L.A. Dream Team was a hip hop group based in Los Angeles, California, founded by Chris "Snake Puppy" Wilson and Rudy Pardee in 1985. The duo initially released their own records under the Dream Team Records label, including early singles such as "The Dream Team Is in the House" (1985) and "Rockberry Jam" (1985). In 1986, L.A. Dream Team signed with MCA Records, which released their debut album Kings of the West Coast (1986) and the subsequent album Bad to the Bone (1986). The group expanded to include Lisa Love, The Real Richie Rich, and Big Burt. Following Love's death in an auto accident in 1986, the lineup changed to include Robin Williams and Tanisha Hill, and their new lineup recorded the album Back to Black (1989). The group's popularity waned with the rise of West Coast gangsta rap in the early 1990s. Pardee and Wilson later reunited to release a single, and Pardee worked on other musical projects including Diverse Thought Process and Family Dream, before Pardee's death in a scuba-diving accident in 1998.
