Jessica Araceli Carrillo Cuevas, known professionally as Jessy Bulbo, is a Mexican singer and bassist born on October 10, 1974, in Mexico City. She began her musical career in 1996 with the punk band Las Ultrasónicas, where she sang and played bass. Her solo debut came with the single “Maldito” (2006), followed by her debut solo album, Saga Mama (2007), released through Nuevos Ricos and distributed by EMI. She followed with Taras Bulba (2008) and the double album Telememe + Greatest Tits (2010), which was preceded by the ranchera single “La Cruda Moral”. In 2015, she issued Changuemonium on Masare Records, and later collaborated with La Gusana Ciega, Veo Muertos, and El Monstruo son los Otros. She also performed on rooftop concerts to support independent artists during the COVID-19 pandemic.
