US-based Latin rapper, producer and creative director Milkman, also known as MLKMN and born Oscar Mario Botello García built his career between the border cities of Monterrey and Laredo, Texas, where he began releasing independent hip-hop tracks in the early 2010s and crafting a hybrid sound that drew on Mexican regional, electronic and Southern rap influences. His breakthrough came when the track "Fresco" from the EP Mucho Fresco was included on the East Los FM radio station in the 2013 videogame Grand Theft Auto V, giving Milkman an international calling card and leading into the mixtape Milkstape and the reworked album Fresco in the mid-2010s. During this period he expanded his profile as a songwriter and producer, contributing to Mexican band Kinky’s 2017 album Nada Vale Más Que Tú on the single "Fly" and co-producing "Un Peso", while also dropping solo cuts such as "R.I.P" with Mila J and a steady run of digital singles. In the 2020s Milkman focused on collaborations and streaming-era releases, issuing tracks like "Sueños Grandes" and linking up with Alemán and Jesse Baez on the 2022 single "6 en Mi Rollie", followed by the DJ project La Noche Oficial (DJ Mix) and the set FANTASIA in 2023 and singles such as "CARTIER", "CAPRICORNIO" and "Todas Mis Exxxes". He closed out 2024 and moved into 2025 with high-profile urbano collabs, including "Pa’ Ti, Pa’ Mí" with DrefQuila, "Clean" with Alemán and "Celebrando" with Muelas de Gallo, before releasing the 2025 single "Mentiras" with Puerto Rican rapper Álvaro Díaz.
