20/20 was an American power pop band based in Hollywood, California. Conceived by drummer and keyboardist Mike Gallo, who began writing songs with guitarist Steve Allen, the band expanded to a trio when Allen's friend from Oklahoma State University, bassist Ron Flynt, joined. After relocating to Los Angeles, the group signed with Greg Shaw's Bomp! Records in 1978 and released their debut single, "Giving It All" (1978) with B-side "Under the Freeway" (1978). Keyboardist Chris Silagyi joined before the band released their self-titled debut album, 20/20 (1979), on Portrait Records, which peaked at number 138 on the Billboard 200 chart. Gallo was let go during the recording sessions for the album, with Phil Seymour playing drums on all but one of the tracks. Drummer Joel Turrisi subsequently joined for the second album, Look Out! (1981), which peaked at number 127. Following subsequent releases, including 4 Day Tornado (1995) and Interstate (1998), the band disbanded in 2005, and the members pursued various solo projects and production work.
