Alin Coen was born in Hamburg in 1982. She is a German-Mexican singer and songwriter. In 2003, she began studying environmental engineering at the Bauhaus University in Weimar. There she met the musicians with whom she founded the Alin Coen Band in May 2007. The band consists of four musicians from Weimar and Hamburg. Musically, the group’s style ranges from pop to folk. In 2008, the Alin Coen Band participated in the German Music Council’s PopCamp. In late 2008, Alin Coen appeared on the Berlin-based internet music show TV Noir. In 2010, the debut album Wer bist du? was released. The EP Einer will immer mehr followed in 2011. In 2013, the band released the album *We’re Not the Ones We Thought We Were*. In 2016, the live album Alles was ich hab was released. The album Nah followed in 2020. In 2022, the album Alin Coen & Stüba Philharmonie was released. In May 2026, the album *Du bedeutest mir die Welt* followed. The album reached number 30 on the German charts. In 2010, the band was awarded the TV Noir Rocket in silver. In 2011, the Alin Coen Band received the German Music Authors’ Award in the category of support for emerging artists.
