Look Back and Laugh was an American hardcore punk band based in the San Francisco Bay Area, formed by former members of Yaphet Kotto, Dead and Gone, Destroy, Talk Is Poison, and Lesser of Two. The group emerged as a hobby project while its members pursued other priorities. They released their debut self-titled album, Look Back and Laugh, in 2003 on Lengua Armada Discos, followed by the split release Look Back and Laugh / Dropdead in 2004. In 2005, the band issued a second self-titled album, Look Back and Laugh, followed by the EP Street Terrorism in 2006 and State of Illusion in 2007, both on Lengua Armada Discos and later on Ebullition. The band played a 1980s-style mixture of hardcore punk and thrashcore, gaining an underground following before disbanding in 2007.
