Yoron Dael Israel, born on November 24, 1963, in Chicago, is an American jazz drummer. He earned a Bachelor's degree from Roosevelt University in 1986 and a Master's from Rutgers University in 1997. Israel began touring internationally with Jay Hoggard in 1987. His debut album under his own name, Chicago, was released in 1998, featuring collaborations with Joe Lovano and Larry Goldings. In 2003, his album Basic Traneing reached number 3 on the American Jazzcharts. Israel has collaborated with notable artists such as Kenny Burrell, Horace Silver, and Sonny Rollins. He has also led the quartet High Standards, which released the Stevie Wonder tribute album Visions (2012).
