Atlantis Chronicles, originally known as Abyss, was formed in 2005 in Paris, France. The technical death/progressive metal band initially released two demos and an EP under their original name: Silent Depths (2007) and Against the Sea (2009). In 2010, the group changed its name to Atlantis Chronicles to reflect their evolving musical direction. Their debut album, Ten Miles Underwater, was released in early 2013 under Coroner Records. The band embarked on extensive tours across Europe and Japan following this release. In November 2015, they signed with Apathia Records and announced their second album, Barton’s Odyssey, which was released in March 2016. After a six-year hiatus, Atlantis Chronicles returned with their third album, Nera, in April 2022, distributed internationally through Metal East Productions, Plastic Head, and MDV.
