Gorge Trio

Gorge Trio was an American experimental rock ensemble from Oakland established in 1998. The group consisted of the musicians John Dieterich, Chad Popple, and Ed Rodriguez. They achieved professional recognition for a musical career that emerged after the dissolution of the math rock ensemble Colossamite. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for including musicians who performed with the ensembles Deerhoof and The Flying Luttenbachers. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording Dead Chicken Fear No Knife (1998) released on the label Freeland Records. Gorge Trio achieved professional recognition for the studio recording For Loss Of (1999) featuring the musician Milo Fine. Their discography included the studio recording The Made Ups (2002) which was a self-released project. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Open Mouth, o' Wisp (2004) released on the label Skin Graft Records. The ensemble is survived by three releases on Skin Graft Records.
