Ehnahre is an American experimental extreme metal ensemble and contemporary composition collective, based in Boston, Massachusetts. The group’s first release, The Man Closing Up (2008), introduced their blend of doom and death metal with aleatoric rhythms, establishing a niche audience. Subsequent albums followed, including Taming the Cannibals (2010), Old Earth (2012), Douve (2016), and The Marrow (2017), each expanding their use of extended techniques and free improvisation. Collaborative projects included the EP Alpha/Omega (2010), Rites for Winter (2018) with Hadean, and Quatrain (2020).
