Sea Snakes, a Canadian indie rock group formed in 2002 in Toronto, consisted of guitarist and vocalist Jimmy McIntyre, guitarist Kristian Galberg, bassist Jeremy Strachan, keyboardist Shaw‑Han Liem, and drummer Nathan Lawr. Their sole album, Clear as Day, the Darkest Tools, was released in 2004 on Three Gut Records, and featured tracks like "Conception Bay, South" and "Firebugs at Cafe Eitelkeit". That year, the band performed around Toronto with The Microphones and Singing Saws and in New York with Jim Guthrie. Sea Snakes disbanded in 2005; McIntyre and Galberg joined Miserere, Strachan played with Rockets Red Glare and Feuermusik, and Galberg later performed with Burn Rome in a Dream.
