Ramin Bahrami, born December 27, 1976, in Tehran, Iran, is a German-Iranian pianist and composer. At age 11, he fled to Italy with his mother and brother due to political turmoil, leaving behind his father who was imprisoned and later died in 1991. Bahrami began his musical studies at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan in 1993. He recorded multiple albums including The Complete Partitas (2005), The Art Of Fugue (2006), and Bach: Concerto Italiano (2008). Bahrami made his debut at La Scala in 2012. He collaborated with prominent musicians like Danilo Rea on Bach is in the Air (2017) and performed with orchestras such as the Gewandhausorchester under Riccardo Chailly.
