Man Must Die, a British metal band from Glasgow, Scotland, was formed in May 2002 by John Lee, Alan McFarland, Danny McNab, and Joe McGlynn. The group's early releases included the demo The Season of Evil in 2003, which led to their signing with Retribute Records for their debut album, ...Start Killing, released in May 2004. In 2007, Man Must Die parted ways with John Lee and released their second studio album, The Human Condition. The band continued to evolve, releasing No Tolerance for Imperfection in August 2009 through Relapse Records and touring extensively with notable acts such as Machine Head and Hatebreed. Their fourth studio album, Peace Was Never an Option, was released in October 2013. In January 2023, the band announced their fifth album, The Pain Behind It All. On July 30, 2024, Man Must Die officially disbanded after two decades of music.
