Tommy Lee James is an American country music songwriter and record producer based in Nashville, Tennessee. He graduated from Northside High School and attended Radford University, where he studied voice. After moving to Nashville, James transitioned into a full-time songwriter. His breakthrough came with several hit songs, including "And Still" by Reba McEntire, "A Man This Lonely" by Brooks & Dunn, and the duet "If You See Him/If You See Her" featuring McEntire and Brooks & Dunn, all of which reached number one on the charts. James continued his success with hits like "Wrong Again" by Martina McBride, "What I Really Meant to Say" by Cyndi Thomson, and "She's My Kind of Rain" by Tim McGraw. He also co-wrote "I Wish" recorded by Jo Dee Messina and "Let's Be Us Again" by Lonestar.
