Thomas Füri, born on July 22, 1947, in Bern, was a Swiss violinist and teacher from Bern. He studied with his father Erich Füri, Max Rostal, and Ivan Galamian at Juilliard School. From 1973 to 1980, he served as concertmaster in Koblenz, Lausanne, and Basel. In 1979, he founded the Camerata Bern, leading it until 1993 while teaching in Winterthur and Zürich. In 1993, he received the Music Prize of the Canton of Bern and founded the Aria Quartet in 1994.
