Thomm Jutz is a German-born American singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist based in Nashville, Tennessee. Born in Neusatz, Germany, in 1969, Jutz began playing music at six years of age, initially learning piano and flute. Inspired by a television performance by Bobby Bare in 1981, he took up the guitar and developed an interest in country, bluegrass, and folk music. He subsequently studied classical guitar at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart under Mario Sicca. In 2003, Jutz received a Diversity Immigrant Visa and relocated to the United States, where he toured with David Olney, Mary Gauthier, and Nanci Griffith. He established TJ Tunes, a recording studio where he produced over 70 albums. Jutz released his debut solo album, Work, in 2010, followed by Volunteer Trail in 2016, and Crazy If You Let It in 2017. In 2020, he released the solo albums To Live in Two Worlds, Vol 1 & 2, with the first volume earning a Grammy Award nomination. He won the International Bluegrass Music Association Songwriter of the Year award in 2021.
