Steff la Cheffe, born Stefanie Peter on April 4, 1987 in Bern, Switzerland, is a Swiss rapper and beatboxer. She began playing guitar as a child and started writing her own lyrics at 13, simultaneously exploring beatboxing. By 16, she was performing live internationally. La Cheffe's career took off when she accompanied Andreas Vollenweider on his concerts in 2009, earning recognition as Newcomer of the Year at m4music. Her debut album Bittersüessi Pille was released in May 2010, reaching number 7 on the Swiss charts. In 2011, she received the Swiss Music Award for Best Talent National. Subsequent albums include Vögu Zum Geburtstag (2013) and Härz Schritt Macherin (2018). Notable achievements include winning the Ida Somazzi Prize in 2014.
