Paz Lenchantin, born December 12, 1973, in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, is an Argentine-American musician known for her roles as a bass player, singer, and violinist. She began playing piano at age five, took up the violin at eight, and taught herself guitar by twelve. Lenchantin's breakthrough came with her involvement in A Perfect Circle, contributing to Mer de Noms (2000) and Thirteenth Step (2003). She later joined Zwan and collaborated on their album Mary Star of the Sea (2003). In 2014, Lenchantin became a touring bassist for Pixies. She was confirmed as a full-time member in July 2016 but left in March 2024 to focus on her own projects. Notable collaborations include work with Queens of the Stone Age on Songs for the Deaf (2002) and Brightblack Morning Light on their self-titled album (2006). Yellow My Skycaptain is a collection of solo tracks recorded over the years 1993 to 1998 and released in 2000. Lenchantin's solo follow up, Songs for Luci, was released in 2006. Triste was released October of 2025 on Lenchantin's label, Heinous Human Records.
