Michael Greene, known professionally as Fort Romeau, is a British DJ and electronic music producer from Chester. After studying music and visual arts in Brighton, Greene relocated to London and performed as a touring member of the electropop duo La Roux. In 2012, he left La Roux and released his debut studio album, Kingdoms, on the 100% Silk label. He signed with Ghostly International in 2013, releasing the EP Stay True (2013), his second studio album, Insides (2015), and his third studio album, Beings of Light (2022). In 2015, he co-founded the record label Cin Cin with Ali Tillett, which includes split EP releases by artists such as Nick Höppner and Todd Osbourne. His other collaborative projects include an EP with Massimiliano Pagliara under the name The Violet Hour, and a duo with Chris Baio under the moniker C.Y.M. His work also includes remixes of the songs “Something Good” by Alt-J, “Time Eater” by Gold Panda, and “Go Back” by Tony Allen.
