Mary's Danish est un groupe américain de rock alternatif formé à Los Angeles, en Californie, à la fin des années 1980. Le groupe est composé des chanteuses Gretchen Seager et Julie Ritter, des guitaristes David Archbold King et Matt Colleran, du bassiste Christopher Scott "Wag" Wagner et du batteur James Oliver Bradley Jr. Leur premier album There Goes the Wondertruck est sorti en 1989 sur le label Chameleon Records, avec le single "Don't Crash the Car Tonight" qui leur a permis d'acquérir une première notoriété. Cette année-là, Robert Hilburn du Los Angeles Times les considère comme l'un des nouveaux venus les plus brillants de 1989 et Rolling Stone les classe dans son "Top Five New Faces". En 1990, Mary's Danish passe chez Morgan Creek Records et sort Circa en 1991 et American Standard en 1992. Leur reprise de "I Fought the Law" figure dans le film Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Le groupe s'est dissous en 1993 à la suite d'un différend avec son label.
