Yelena Vladimirovna Terleyeva, known professionally as Elena Terleeva, was born on March 6, 1985, in Surgut, USSR. She is a Russian singer who began her musical journey studying piano and vocals at a local music school. In 2003, she participated in the televised competition Morning Star, winning her group. Terleyeva gained prominence after participating in the second season of Fabrika Zvyozd on Channel One Russia, where she placed second behind Polina Gagarina. Following this, she signed with Maxim Fadeev's label Monolit Records. In 2005, Terleyeva competed in the Russian preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest alongside Jam with their duet "No More War," finishing sixth. Her breakthrough single "Mezhdu Mnoyu i Toboyu" ("Between Me and You") peaked at number 29 on the TopHit airplay charts. In 2006, her single "Solntse" ("Sun") earned her a Golden Gramophone Award.
