Kendall Payne, born 10 April 1980 in Santa Monica, California, is a singer-songwriter. She signed with Capitol Records and released her debut album Jordan's Sister in 1999, winning the 2001 GMA Dove Award for Modern Rock Album of the Year. In 2004, she released Grown, followed by Paper Skin (2007), the worship album That's Why There's Grace (2008), the holiday album December (2008), and Wounds to Scars (2009). Payne toured with Sarah McLachlan for Lilith Fair and performed with Dido and Switchfoot. Her songwriting earned the 2007 ASCAP Foundation Sammy Cahn Award, and her track "Supermodels" served as the theme for the WB series Popular. From 2014 to 2018, she was the Senior Director of Contemporary Worship at Bel Air Presbyterian Church.
