Blanket of Secrecy were an English new wave and synth-pop band formed in 1982. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for maintaining anonymity, using the pseudonyms “Tinker”, “Tailor”, and “Soldier”. They were later revealed to be vocalist and guitarist Peter Marsh, bassist Andy Howell, and keyboardist and producer Roger Bechirian. They released their debut studio album, Ears Have Walls (1982), which was also titled Walls Have Ears in different territories. The recording featured the track “Say You Will” (1982), which received airplay on MTV and reached the charts in the Netherlands. The ensemble disbanded before releasing their second studio album, which remained unreleased until 2017 when it was issued digitally under the title 2.
