Pascal Bertin, born on September 26, 1965, is a French countertenor singer. He began his career at age 11 as a soloist with the Chœur d'Enfants de Paris, performing worldwide under conductors such as Seiji Ozawa and Zubin Mehta. Bertin studied under William Christie and won the first prize for baroque music interpretation at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris in 1988. His career includes collaborations with groups like Huelgas Ensemble and Daedalus, as well as conductors including Jordi Savall and Philippe Herreweghe. Bertin has released over 100 recordings and founded the jazz vocal group Indigo in 1987, leaving in 1996 after three albums. He served as director of the music department at the Conservatoire de Paris and professor of singing at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. In 2018, Bertin became the artistic director of the Pontoise Baroque Festival.
